Jake Murray doesn’t mind what others think, he’ll do it his way

He made quite the entrance for his fifth season and his return to the buzzer. Do American Ninja Warrior fans ever really know what to expect from Jake Murray? Well, yes, an entertaining run. Jake loves to add a little personal flair to the course and the start of his fifth season in Seattle/Tacoma was no different. After ending his season at the National Finals, on Deja Vu during Stage Two, in season 10, Jake returned with his focus on getting back to that point. And he wanted to take the first step by earning the Speed Pass from the […]

Sandy Zimmerman reflects on her run, ‘This huge, big dream is actually happening.’

She’s now the first mom to complete a Qualifying course. When Sandy Zimmerman stepped up to the American Ninja Warrior starting platform in the Tacoma Dome,a lot of viewers didn’t know who they were watching. That quickly changed. Although it was her third time on the show, she’d previously never advanced past the second obstacle. She’d fallen in season eight on Tick Tock in Los Angeles, and then on the Cannonball Drop in the same region in season 9. Season 10, she was unable to compete due to an injury. To say the third time was a charm for Sandy […]

Season 11 Seattle/Tacoma Qualifiers: Full results and all competitors

96 Ninjas faced down the course, featuring new and returning obstacles. American Ninja Warrior’s Seattle/Tacoma Qualifiers gave us a taste of what the competition could be like without weather as a factor. Honestly, the Ninjas held up pretty much the same, in our opinion. The course delivered some punches with the new Lunatic Ledges and the returning Lightning Bolts. Still, 13 Ninjas made it to the buzzer, including Jessie Graff and Sandy Zimmerman. While a good number of Ninjas wanted the Mega Wall, only Lance Pekus successfully managed it. Find out how the course broke down below! Read a recap […]

Megan Jarmosevich & James Gross, competitors in the OKC Qualifiers, have something in common with 23 other competitors in that city.

Those stinking Diving Boards. Ladies first—Megan Jarmosevich Clearly a strong competitor, Megan pulled off a solid and very smiley run, right up until those Diving Boards. As Matt Iseman said, it was a “strong debut for the 36 year old rookie, but the flight nurse ended up with a water landing.” Even the water landing didn’t take the smile off her face though. Popping out of the water, Megan said with exuberance, “That was so fun! I want to go again!” Equally as awesome as Megan’s run on the course is her occupation. Megan is a pediatric flight nurse in […]

Matthew Day’s strategy on the Ninja course was pretty simple.

“When I was on the course, it was more instinct. I wasn’t really trying to consciously think about what I was doing.”  After a phenomenal rookie year in Season 10 of American Ninja Warrior, our expectations were high for Matthew Day. We definitely weren’t disappointed. In fact, we practically saw a repeat of last season, with Matthew finishing the Qualifying Course with the second fastest time of the night… just like last year. Only Daniel Gil was faster… just like last year. The big change this year was the Power Tower, but Matthew finished second on that too! With hopes […]

Season 11 Oklahoma City Qualifiers: Full results and all competitors

Diving Boards and water… there’s a connection to be made. The American Ninja Warrior Oklahoma City Qualifiers debuted a new balance obstacle, the Diving Boards. There’s a great pun to be made about Diving Boards and hitting the water, but we’ll leave that up to you. That obstacle took out more competitors than any other. Although, it was followed fairly closely by the new Coconut Climb, which was the obstacle to beat for the night if the competitor wanted to advance to the City Finals. Overall, it was still a strong night for the Ninjas! 13 were able to complete […]
